Kagurabachi, a hit from the pages of Weekly Shounen Jump about swords, yakuza, sorcerers, and revenge, will become an anime in April 2027

The manga Kagurabachi, the first series by Hokazono Takeru — who openly names Naruto, John Wick, Tarantino and Nolan among his touchstones — is getting an anime from the new studio CyPic (The World Dances) in Apr. 2027. A short teaser is already out: terse, action-leaning, and enough to make you raise an eyebrow. Adaptation credits list dir. Takeuchi Tetsue (Rebirth of a Middle-aged Man as a Nobleman's Daughter) and ch. des. Sasaki Keiko (Blue Exorcist, Seven Deadly Sins). As of Sep. 2023 the manga stands at 10 vols.

Rokuhira Chihiro’s childhood was a rhythm of practice — the son of a famed weapon craftsman, he hammered and learned every day, dreaming of the same trade. They were different people, yet shared quiet hours of work and laughter; then came a sudden, bloody break. Hate filled the boy; he took up a sword and set himself on a revenge path that drags him into conflict with the yakuza and the sorcerers of Hishaku. It’s violent, stubborn, and oddly compelling — not a neat origin tale, more a snapped thread that unravels violently.
