Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal will star in a film about destructive love

The stars of the drama Hamnet: The Story that Inspired “Hamlet”, Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, are reuniting on screen. They’ve been tapped to play the leads in Hold on to Your Angels — set in the southern part of Louisiana (s. LA, hum.). The premise skews dark: a cursed criminal, seemingly condemned to hell, becomes entangled in a destructive love with a fierce shepherd of lost souls (hum.). Ben Zeitlin (Beasts of the Southern Wild) is both screenwriter and director. Filming is due to begin in February next year.
