NAVI CS2 Coach Analyzes Reasons for Early Exit at IEM Krakow
Natus Vincere Counter-Strike 2 coach Andrey «B1ad3» Gorodenskiy summarized his team's performance at IEM Krakow 2026. The Ukrainian club exited the competition, failing to advance past the group stage. In the decisive match, the team lost to the Brazilian squad FURIA.
A Tactical Defeat
According to the coach, the key problem was the play on the decisive map, Dust 2. Gorodenskiy admitted that the opponent completely outplayed them on the attacking side, and NAVI had no countermeasures.
"I think FURIA simply played much better than us on Dust 2. That's it. <...> We need more ideas and understanding of what they are doing as a team. They were simply a cut above."
Bootcamp Effectiveness
Despite the result, B1ad3 claims the team is in good form. Before the tournament, the roster spent 24 days at a training base, working on expanding their map pool and practicing the new map Anubis. However, in the match against the Brazilians, NAVI were denied one of their strongest maps — Ancient, which affected the outcome.
A Rough Patch
- Tournament Result
- NAVI placed 9th-12th, earning $16k.
- Path
- The team barely defeated PARIVISION, but then successively lost to Team Spirit and FURIA.
- Trend
- This is the club's second failure in 2026. Earlier, the roster failed to qualify for the BLAST Bounty Winter LAN finals.
The next chance for redemption will come for the team on February 14th at the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 tournament.
Earlier, Team Spirit crushed NAVI and secured a spot in the tournament's playoffs in Krakow. The main hero of the match was Danil «donk» Kryshkovets, who destroyed the opponents, racking up 47 frags over two maps.
