Intel Cancels Arc B770 Graphics Card Due to AI Boom

Intel cancels arc b770 graphics card due to ai boom

It seems gamers waiting for a powerful response from Intel in the mid-range segment will have to curb their enthusiasm. According to a new report, Intel has decided to completely cancel the release of the flagship model in the Battlemage lineup — the Arc B770.

The reason is painfully familiar — the global priority of artificial intelligence. Sources claim Intel faced a choice: to spend scarce production capacity on low-margin gaming graphics cards or on AI accelerators and server chips. The choice fell on the more profitable direction.

If the information is confirmed, this will be a serious blow to competition. The Arc B770 was supposed to be that very "third player," capable of offering 16 GB of video memory and decent performance for under $400. Now, the market for powerful mid-range and high-end graphics cards once again remains in the hands of the NVIDIA and AMD duopoly, which, as we have already seen, are not shy about raising prices.
