The Global Lost Ark Launches an Update with a New Raid and Tier 4 Progression

The global version of Lost Ark rolled out a sizable patch that brings fresh endgame encounters and expands progression options. Servers were taken down for technical maintenance on April 15 — roughly five hours of work.

At the center is the Shadow Raid: Sorka, called the witch of pain, returns after seals that kept ancient horrors locked away faltered. It’s built for four-player groups and comes in three difficulty settings; the minimum entry is item level 1710 (i.e., ilvl 1710).

Combat here deviates from the usual playbook. The stun has been replaced by a Brawl system: when the boss is knocked down, the fight shifts into a separate phase filled with short, high-pressure challenges. Meet the conditions quickly and your team gets tactical perks for the next stage. The effect is less of a slow, tank-and-spank and more of a stop-start test of coordination and timing — expect rapid decisions rather than long windows to react.

Resurrection was changed, too. Instead of independent lives, the group now draws from a shared pool of revival attempts; one careless move can wipe the whole try even if some members are still standing. It makes the run braid in a bit of tension.

Beyond the raid: a solo Chaos Rift mode arrived, Tier 4 progression expanded with new Destined Tremor equipment, and the Inanna’s Blessing subscription was added. New combat items called Shadow Skills also appeared — usable in multiple activities, e.g., dungeons, rifts, and raids — which will tweak how builds are played.
