In Japan, the sails of Windrose will be powered by the authors of Palworld

Crosswind Crew will release the cooperative survival game Windrose on their own worldwide. For the Japanese market, though, they’ve enlisted Pocketpair — the team behind Palworld — since Pocketpair has been dabbling in publishing lately. The partnership was unveiled with a trailer.

A demo shown at the "Let the Games Begin" festival generated buzz among Steam users, and early access is planned for 2026. By the way, on April 9 Crosswind Crew will appear at The Triple-i Initiative 2026 to showcase Windrose. I can’t help but wonder if Pocketpair’s touch will be mostly about localization (e.g., marketing and distribution) or if it will leave a clearer mark on the game itself — time will tell.
