Tim Bender, CEO of the publishing company Hooded Horse (known for hits like Manor Lords and Against the Storm), has sharply criticized the use of AI in the gaming industry. His position was expressed in the most straightforward and uncensored manner.

Bender stated that if Hooded Horse takes on publishing a game, it should not contain any AI assets. This applies not only to final graphics but also to concept art, texts, or voiceovers.

In the interview, he did not mince words, saying directly: "I f—king hate gen AI art." In his opinion, the use of neural networks devalues the work of artists and deprives games of "soul" and human vision.

Bender is convinced that players sense inauthenticity. The use of generative content can cause irreparable damage to a game's image and the trust of the community, which is a key factor for success in the indie sector.
