Hytale broke Twitch, gathering 420,000 viewers at its peak
Riot is tearing their hair out in frustration
The long-awaited sandbox game Hytale has finally launched in early access. The game instantly topped Twitch, attracting more than 420,000 viewers, and interest in it skyrocketed in search trends.
Even before its release, pre-orders secured two years of funding for the project. The studio's founder expected more than a million players on the first day, and that goal appears to have been achieved. There were some technical difficulties: the team is preparing a hotfix to fix bugs, and some players are experiencing delays in account confirmation due to high traffic. But after a difficult development history, such problems only confirm the successful launch of the project. I would like to see the faces of those people at Riot who decided to abandon support for this game.
