Once Human Receives Major Update with New Year Event and a Huge Number of Other New Features

The latest update for the shooter Once Human includes numerous events tied to the Chinese New Year, as well as a wide range of other game optimizations.

The main feature of version 2.3.2 is the Spring Festival Island, to which players can teleport to participate in the Chinese New Year celebration from the update's launch until March 11. For a month, a server-wide event is running where players need to collect ingredients for a festive meal, and all players will receive a Deviation after its completion. For those seeking a more serious challenge, players can battle the boss "Nian Beast" a limited number of times per week. Some social functions have also appeared on the island and beyond, along with daily login bonuses.

While this update, like the previous major content patch at the end of January, is largely dedicated to the Lunar New Year event, it also contains many other important changes.

One of the large-scale changes (or "optimizations," as the developers call it) in Once Human will affect the Gardener class. According to the developers, this is a step in exploring player feedback on the class system. Gardeners can now plant up to 50 crops in the wild and receive updated class features allowing them to master planting for bonuses, literally influence them through the environment, and graft plants for double effects. Additionally, a new crop allows players to graft parts of a Portal for short-distance teleportation.

A new Deviant, Doctor Raven, has appeared in the recently updated Pollution Zones and helps players increase their Light reserves and restore health in critical moments.

A new game mode called "Hide and Seek" has appeared on the Island Paradise in Eternity, providing players with more "gameplay depth," as apparently requested by players.

All players will be able to use the new blueprint exchange and gifting function, which allows other players to either view or receive blueprints in full; blueprints can now also be transferred within a single account.
