Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Gets Major Early Access Update With Alliance Mode

A significant early access update has arrived for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, introducing alliances that let players team up with friends in both PvP and PvE sessions. The patch notes can be found here.

The developers noted the alliance mode was a lengthy undertaking, requiring substantial rework of both the interface and internal game mechanics. They explained their goal was to make it as feature-complete as possible at this development stage while incorporating community feedback — including the addition of a simultaneous turn option that is always available.

Beyond alliances, the update delivers an expanded random map generator, balance adjustments, interface refinements (notably to the reaction wheel), matchmaking system changes, and numerous other improvements.

The team has additional plans for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, with details to be shared starting in October. Players can expect new maps, extensive balance changes, new creatures, and more.
