Phasmophobia Prepares for Full Release — Plans for Version 1.0

The developers of the cooperative horror game Phasmophobia have unveiled their roadmap for 2026.

The main goal is to release the full version 1.0 and exit the early access stage.

Version 1.0 will include the major "Horror 2.0" update, which will completely overhaul the approach to fear: new paranormal phenomena, stories, as well as improved graphics and sound will be added.

In addition, the team plans to rework the Tanglewood and Willow locations, update character models, and migrate the game to a new version of the Unity engine with an improved networking system. Plans to port the game to the Switch 2 console also remain.

Throughout the year, players can expect themed events, including a unique "One Time Event," the details of which are still being kept secret.

The team expresses optimism, calling 2026 the most important year for Phasmophobia, and is preparing to present the final version of a project they have been working on for over six years.
