Half Sword Developers Improved Performance, Though AMD Owners May Still Suffer

The developers of the game Half Sword have released an update focused on improving the performance of open locations and overall optimization. The update aims to solve a number of issues players have been facing.

The main focus was on the Forest and Slums maps. Additional optimization of vegetation has been carried out on them, which should positively impact performance. Furthermore, on the Slums map, colliders have been correctly configured; now a round ends properly if a player leaves the map boundaries.

One of the interesting new features is the taunt mechanic. Players can now try to persuade enemies to surrender using special lines — NPCs will react to the player's actions.

The update also implemented optimization of blood effects, contributing to an overall increase in game performance. However, the developers acknowledge that some players (particularly those using AMD graphics cards) are still experiencing issues with the display of blood effects. The team is actively working on solving this problem.

In addition to the listed changes, the update includes a number of minor bug fixes. The developers continue to work on further improvements, gameplay tuning, and implementing community feedback.
