Guillermo del Toro helped in the work on the film "The Mandalorian and Grogu"
The long-awaited premiere of "The Mandalorian and Grogu" arrives this month, and fresh details keep trickling out.
Jon Favreau revealed that Guillermo del Toro pitched in during production — not in a cameo way but by working on 3D models, e.g., designs for members of the Hutt species. Del Toro apparently became hooked on those creatures and, with the team, pushed for a much more physically imposing presence; his name appears in the film credits of the full-length space western.
The story is set after season three of “The Mandalorian” and follows Din Djarin and Grogu on a mission that looks central to the plot. The cast features Pedro Pascal ("The Last of Us"), Jeremy Allen White ("The Bear"), Sigourney Weaver ("Alien") and others. Abroad release date: May 22.
