Gorr kills loki in the trailer for the tenth season of marvel rivals

NetEase Games has revealed the tenth season of Marvel Rivals, titled Butcher’s Blasphemy, and released an animated trailer showing Gorr the God Butcher in a violent clash with Loki. The announcement itself was shared via another video link here.

Even gods can die. ☠️

Unleashing the power of the All-Black Necrosword on the false deities of Thebes, the God Butcher continues his grim crusade, and his path leads to Yggsgard.

As long as gods exist, mortals remain trapped in illusions and futile prayers, instead of believing in their own power. The Butcher’s goal is clear: to create a God-bomb and destroy all that is divine.

But the king of Yggsgard is ready to defend his kingdom, and thunder rolls behind him. Will these forces be enough to save the heavens from the true revenge of a mortal?

On the gameplay side, Gorr is introduced as a melee duelist who wields the All-Black Necrosword. He can consume fallen bodies to spawn Black Berserkers that assault his foes. NetEase noted that Gorr is the sole new playable character arriving with season ten; the studio also warned that starting with season eleven, new heroes will again be released in pairs.

  • A new map — God Quarry, which will be added on September 24.
  • Pajamas-themed skins for Cloak and Dagger, Jeff the shark, Magneto, Luna Snow, Mantis, Rogue, and Daredevil.
  • A limited-time event called Jeff’s Dream Eater, offering new costumes and cosmetic rewards.
  • Phases 3 and 4 of Path to Doomsday in the 10.5 update, featuring brand-new game modes that NetEase will reveal closer to that update’s launch.
  • The customary balance pass affecting 70% of heroes.

Marvel Rivals is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, with Russian text localization. The tenth season begins on September 11.
