Planet of Lana 2 Developers Discuss Main New Features of the Sequel

The creators of the colorful adventure Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf have shared what new things await players in the sequel.

They started with the companion creature Mui, who can now move across the entire screen. The developers noted that this change might seem minor, but it allows players to devise many more ways to navigate through various locations.

Mui can now also take control of various creatures. This is important because Planet of Lana 2 will feature new biomes. For example, Mui's ability will allow possession of a small fish to explore underwater.

Lana herself has become more agile, her controls have been made more responsive, and she has gained the ability to dive underwater independently. According to the creators, they took the best from the original Planet of Lana and then enhanced it with new additions.

In terms of the story, a new tribe appears on Lana's planet, using technology to extract resources. They cause serious damage to nature, and Lana's sister also suffers from their actions. The protagonist will then embark on a journey once again, where dark secrets of her planet will be uncovered.

Planet of Lana 2 will be released on March 5 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch.

Recently, the developers showed a gameplay trailer featuring many puzzles, a significant portion of which are designed for the use of both Lana and Mui.
