Global Smartphone Sales Are Growing, Especially for Flagship Models

The global smartphone market achieved record results in the fourth quarter of 2025. Revenue grew by 13%, reaching $143 billion. The average device price exceeded $400 for the first time, increasing by 8%. The rise in average cost is linked to increased demand for premium models and higher component prices. Shipments in unit terms grew by 5%.

Apple strengthened its leadership: its revenue grew by 23%, and shipments increased by 14%. Success was primarily driven by the iPhone 17 Pro.

Samsung maintained its second place in revenue with an 11% market share. Its shipments grew by 17%. Growth was driven by the budget Galaxy A series, flagship S25 models, and foldable devices. However, the average selling price decreased by 4% due to the popularity of low-cost devices.

Xiaomi faced a decline: revenue fell by 9%, and shipments dropped by 11%. The company was impacted by rising component prices, especially in key markets like China and India.

OPPO showed a 23% revenue growth thanks to premium models and expansion into emerging markets.

Vivo increased its revenue by 6% due to performance in China and India.

It is forecasted that the trend of rising average prices will continue, but high component costs may limit shipments in 2026.
