Genocide in Castor Woods: Dying Light: The Beast players have exterminated the population of an entire planet

Dying Light: The Beast Marks One Year With 8.6 Billion Enemies Killed

Techland has released first-year statistics for Dying Light: The Beast, and the numbers show players have been busy. Over the past 12 months, fans have eliminated 8.6 billion enemies—a figure that surpasses the population of Earth—with an additional 300 million kills stacked on top.

Player activity extended well beyond combat. The community completed one billion quests and launched 52 million game sessions during the year, accumulating 11,000 years of continuous gameplay.

The creature known as "Instability" proved to be the deadliest threat, responsible for the majority of the 39 million player deaths. Among survivors' resources, repair kits—not medkits—emerged as the scarcest item, while flashlights have been switched on more than six million times in recent months.

Techland has indicated it will keep the momentum going, with new rewards and changes coming to Castor Woods to sustain the intense pace of survival.
