GACHIAKUTA: The Game has received trailers showcasing Enjin, Rie, Rudo, and Zanku
Com2uS has released a series of "battle" trailers for the action RPG GACHIAKUTA: The Game, putting playable characters — Enjin, Rie, Rudo, and Zanka — front and center. The clips move quickly and focus on combat flair: "fast, dynamic battles that bring to life the unique traits of each anime character." They hardly pause for exposition; instead you get bursts of attacks, counters, and visual punch. Com2uS is clearly leaning into spectacle — a bit loud, if you ask me (tbh).
GACHIAKUTA: The Game is planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. Release date: TBD.
The source manga drops you into a dystopia anchored to a giant floating island called the Heavenly Firmament. Think of a city up top with all the privilege and a wall that seals off the slums below, where people labeled "tribals" — descendants of those punished — scrape by. The upper layers throw away what they don’t want: garbage, unwanted goods, and people judged useless, all sent down into a deep chasm known as the Abyss.
At the center is Rudo, a teenager from the slums and the biological son of a serial killer. He lives with his foster father Regto and carries a hard edge toward the city folk, largely because of how they discard things — and people. Regto tells him that Rudo’s real father was hurled into the Abyss before Rudo was even born. Then, returning home one day, Rudo finds Regto dead; he’s discovered at the scene, blamed for the murder, and thrown into the Abyss himself. It’s bleak, sudden, and sets the stage without any comforting soft edges.
