From "scam" to apology: Saber will make the failed add-on for Space Marine 2 free and refund the money for it
The devs of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 found themselves doing damage control after the Chapter Voice Pack 1 DLC flopped spectacularly. Dropped at the end of February, the add-on sits at a disastrous 16% on Steam — players slammed Saber Interactive for what many called sloppy work and even deception, pointing to weak voice acting and missing lines that had been promised.
Saber’s answer was blunt: full refunds for buyers and the DLC made free. Some in the community praised the studio’s honesty (a rare PR + QA pivot, I guess), while others grumbled that simply removing the price tag missed the point — fix the content, they said, don’t just pull the paywall.
