Part of Raccoon City and Spencer Mansion Could Have Been Cut from Resident Evil Requiem

Capcom may have axed material from Resident Evil Requiem during the final polish. Reportedly the missing bits include an extra slice of Raccoon City and what was left of Spencer Mansion from the original game.

The same leaker, Dusk Golem, also claims we should expect an announcement for a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica this year — release allegedly planned for H1 2027. Then (in 2027) Capcom might have other priorities, or maybe not; the rumor thread is fuzzy.

Resident Evil Requiem is already out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 (PC, PS5, XSX, NS2). Critics have given it glowing write-ups — see this roundup — and Steam lists it as "extremely positive". It’s also been noted that, at UK retail, the new RE beat the remakes of RE4 and Village at launch.
