From Comics to Games: Com2uS to Release Major Projects Based on "The Omniscient Reader" and "Gachi Akute" in 2027

From comics to games com2us to release major projects based on the omniscient reader and gachi akute in 2027

Com2uS is doubling down on anime/webtoon IPs, putting a lot of air-time (and budget) behind a couple of high-profile adaptations. In its recent financial report management said large-scale games based on "Omniscient Reader" and "Gachikuta" are expected in 2027.

Today the coffers are still topped up by sports simulators and the long-running Summoners War (i.e., legacy titles that keep cash flow steady), but the company is plainly banking on those comic tie-ins to push what comes next. Development on the action game tied to "Omniscient Reader" began in spring 2025; the "Gachikuta" project was revealed in December. There’s also an MMORPG inspired by Greek mythology in the pipeline, yet the comic adaptations are being positioned as the studio’s main market weapon — a bold bet, and one that will hinge on execution, not just brand recognition (FYI).
