As promised: Resident Evil Requiem cracked on release day
A hacker using the alias KiriGiri (rumored to be a woman) announced the cracking of the protection for the latest installment of the cult series Resident Evil. According to them, bypassing multiple layers of protection—Steam, Denuvo, Capcom Anti Tamper, VMProtect, and SteamStub—was achieved using a hypervisor, and the solution works on both AMD and Intel processors.
Particularly noteworthy is the timeframe in which the protection fell: just one hour after the game's official release. This is an absolute record in the entire history of Denuvo, albeit with some caveats.
