Final Fantasy VII Remake Lands on Xbox Series and Switch 2 Alongside a Cheat Update

As promised, developers from Square Enix released new versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake for Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. This means the first part of the FF7 remake trilogy is now available on all current platforms.

The fresh ports include all the content from the expanded Intergrade edition, the main highlight of which is the story episode Intermission featuring Yuffie.

But the innovations don't stop there — alongside the release for Xbox Series and Switch 2, the creators launched update 1.006 with official cheats. Players can now enable an immortality mode, set the protagonist's damage to maximum, and have an unlimited supply of almost every item at all times.

Meanwhile, Square Enix continues to work on the concluding third part of the remake, which is planned for release no later than 2027. Since the company has abandoned the model of timed exclusives, it's highly likely that the finale will be multiplatform from the very start.
