The sci-fi survival game Icarus has received a release date for PS5 and Xbox Series — February 26, 2026. To mark the occasion, studio RocketWerkz, led by the creator of DayZ, has released a new trailer.

The video recaps the game's world history and the protagonists' main objectives. A squad of up to 8 people is sent to a dangerous planet to harvest exotic materials and conduct research for clients. Unfortunately, this land is inhospitable. The air on Icarus is toxic, the weather is unpredictable, and wild creatures are eager to devour the uninvited guests. Therefore, the treasure hunters will have to build a base, develop tactics, choose equipment, and hone their skills to survive and return to the ship with their haul.

The game features three modes.

• The first invites you to immerse yourself in an open world and test the limits of human capabilities.
• The second is built around missions with time limits.
• The third allows you to enjoy creativity by building an outpost in a safer environment.

For reference, Icarus was released on December 4, 2021, and has garnered 73% positive reviews on Steam. So far, it has only been available on PC. The developers are also preparing a new expansion called Dangerous Horizons.
