Extraction shooter marathon received an update with perks and bug fixes

The devs behind the extraction shooter Marathon (2026) pushed a new update.

They chased down several annoying bugs — some linked to different shells, others to implants — and tweaked a handful of modes and maps. New challenges have been added to the Codex. A glitch that blocked interaction with certain crates is gone now. You can drag to remove weapon modifications (nice UX touch), and the "Equipment" UI will warn you if you don’t have the needed resources. Small, focused fixes; useful, if not revolutionary.

Marathon is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series — and yes, it saw a hefty peak online (Steam): 88,337 players.

The devs also put out a trailer with press reviews and said they're testing a two-player mode. If 2P is your thing, keep an eye on the test rounds — could get chaotic fast.
