Escape from GTA 6 and the Autumn Crowds — Lords of the Fallen 2 Officially Delayed to Early 2027

CI Games has pushed back the dark action RPG Lords of the Fallen 2. It won’t arrive in the previously intended fall 2026 window; the team now lists Q1 2027 as the launch target. Platforms remain PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The announcement came from CI Games CEO Marek Tymiński, who cited two main reasons for the shift:

  1. During development, Hexworks began working closely with an internal Gameplay Feedback Team made up of longtime fans and soulslike veterans. Their input pointed to meaningful gameplay changes, so the studio needs extra time to fold those suggestions in — e.g., balance passes, mechanic tweaks, and repeated playtesting. The stated aim is to avoid repeating the launch problems of the first title, not to rush a half-baked release.
  2. Tymiński also admitted the timing helps dodge a crowded autumn schedule. Sept–Oct looks packed with major launches (Valor Mortis, Mortal Shell 2, etc.), and Nov–Dec will almost certainly be dominated by Grand Theft Auto VI — a hard overlap for any other release. Moving into early 2027 is meant to give the sequel more room to breathe with players and press, though it’s not a guaranteed fix.
