The Relic: First Guardian in the new trailer from Horror Showcase 2026

At the January presentation of Perp Games Horror Showcase 2026, the developers from the South Korean studio Project Cloud Games showcased a fresh trailer for their ambitious project The Relic: First Guardian. The new video focuses on a dark atmosphere and makes it clear that this is not just another souls-like game, but a brutal reinterpretation of the classic Korean folk tale about the Heavenly Maiden and the Woodcutter.

Along with the new trailer, the developers confirmed the release date. The long journey of the Guardian will begin on May 26, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Considering that the project is being created on Unreal Engine 5 by a small team of nine people, the graphics and combat staging look impressive.
