EA Sports FC 27 football simulator has been released for all players on PC and consoles

EA Sports FC 27 Launches for All Players, Posts Mixed Steam Reception

EA Sports FC 27 is now available to everyone on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Until this release, only owners of the Ultimate Edition could access the football simulator.

Critical reception has remained consistent with prior entries in the series, with the game scoring 80 points on Opencritic and 78 points on Metacritic. On Steam, however, user reviews are currently sitting at "mixed," based on ratings from over 2,500 players.

Positive Steam reviews highlight changes that longtime series fans will notice. Negative feedback centers on optimization and balance problems, with some players urging others to hold off on purchasing the title.

Concurrent player numbers on Steam exceeded 69 thousand at the time of writing, and that figure is expected to climb by evening. For comparison, EA Sports FC 25 and EA Sports FC 26 each drew more than 110 thousand and 160 thousand concurrent players respectively during their own launches.

The developers have pointed to several key additions in EA Sports FC 27, including The Grounds — a social space that moves football onto street courts — and a reworked player transfer mechanic.
