Don't Believe Mirages: The Mirage League Has Started in Path of Exile
Grinding Gear Games has released a major update, Mirage, for Path of Exile, now out on PC and consoles.
Maps get shaken up: an overhauled endgame map system plus a league named Mirage where you try to free genies snatched by necromancers. These arenas are parallel versions of spots you already know—close, but off-kilter—so each run feels familiar and strange at once. Before you set off you must pick a desire modifier (a mod, basically) that reshapes that whole run rather than merely tacking on a bonus.
There’s more under the hood too. New unique items appear, and the rules around corrupting skill gems have been changed — expect different outcomes and the need to rethink some builds.
The devs are tracking server stability and posting updates on the support page as issues crop up. Early hiccups—outages or temporarily disabled features—aren’t unexpected, and the team is actively issuing fixes, so if you jump in right away, plan for occasional rough spots.
