Discord started working faster on PC
Discord developers have sped up the launch of the desktop version of the app. After recent navigation improvements, the team optimized the data loading system at startup. Now the client opens on average 11.8% faster.
This was achieved through internal changes in data processing and initialization — no new features or visual tweaks were added. The optimization is especially noticeable during a cold start.
The developers call this part of a series of gradual improvements aimed at increasing the responsiveness and stability of the client.
