Detective Action Game KILLER INN Launches into Early Access on February 12th
Square Enix and the team at Tactic Studios have announced the launch date for KILLER INN. The detective multiplayer action game launches into Early Access on February 12th.
KILLER INN is an asymmetrical multiplayer game for 24 players, where each match turns into a deadly game of trust. Participants are divided into "wolves" and "lambs." The former hunt from the shadows and try to eliminate opponents, while the latter attempt to deduce the killers, relying on numerical superiority and clues from crime scenes.
According to the developers, shootouts and hand-to-hand fights constantly erupt in the castle, and an atmosphere of paranoia doesn't let you relax for a minute. Clues like fingerprints, blood, or scraps of clothing help narrow down the list of suspects, but even your closest ally could be a traitor.
Victory can be achieved in different ways. Teams can completely eliminate their rivals or, in the case of the "lambs," try to escape the castle by finding keys and preparing a ship to sail away. There are no votes in the style of Among Us here—if a player is sure of a target's guilt, they must take the path of violence and carry out vigilante justice.
The heroes' arsenal includes firearms, melee weapons, traps, poisons, armor, and protective gear. There is no universal tactic: each match unfolds differently. This is complemented by a focus mode, which allows you to notice traces, shell casings, and even sounds through walls, as well as a voice chat that takes distance and surroundings into account.
You can play solo or in squads of up to four people. Characters have unique abilities—from stealthy movement to detective skills.
At launch, KILLER INN will feature microtransactions—where would we be without them! Players can expect a premium battle pass, cosmetic skins for characters, weapons, and items, as well as instant character unlocks. The publisher separately notes that paid content does not provide gameplay advantages or enhance characters or equipment.
The honor of trying KILLER INN in Early Access will be granted only to PC gamers on Steam. For a more comfortable investigation of clues, the developers have prepared a text translation into Russian.
