Corsairs - Battle of the Caribbean naval strategy game to be released on May 18
Publisher Microids and developer Fishing Cactus have confirmed the release date for the remake of the 1999 game Corsairs - Battle of the Caribbean as May 18 on PC. A console release has not yet been announced.
The updated version will feature a campaign for five factions, online multiplayer for up to four players with an Elo rating system, and a new "Skirmish" mode. Players will be able to create fleets of 12 types of ships, engage in naval battles with different types of ammunition, and conduct boarding operations using soldiers of three classes.
The game also features a trade management system, island exploration, and city development, which give bonuses and unlock new upgrades for the fleet.
