Comics and saving the world teaser trailer for the series stuart bloom couldnt save the universe has appeared

HBO Max has put out a teaser for the spin-off of the popular series The Big Bang Theory — Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. The show arrives on July 23.

Think of Stuart Bloom, the quiet comic-shop owner who used to hover at the edges of the original show. One careless moment — he breaks one of Sheldon and Leonard’s inventions — and suddenly multiple alternate universes start acting up. Worlds wobble toward catastrophe, and Stuart, together with his girlfriend Denise, geologist Bert, and physicist Barry Kripke, hops between parallel realities trying to undo the damage. FYI, the tone seems to mix awkward comedy with low-level cosmic chaos; whether that lands for you will depend.

The leading cast includes Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, John Ross Bowie, and Brian Posehn. It’s not confirmed if original Big Bang Theory regulars will turn up, though alternate-universe takes on familiar faces are a real possibility.

Behind the camera are Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, veterans of the original series, with Zak Penn helping on the script. The first season consists of ten episodes, released weekly.

Earlier, the first footage surfaced online. For a fuller roundup of what's known so far, see this article.
