Code Vein 2 Developers Improve Game Performance and Prepare New Changes
There’s movement from the devs behind Code Vein 2: after a launch marred by stutters and crashes, a recent patch targets several problem areas. Developers say the update reduces FPS drops in specific situations and patches crashes that were related to CPU overload.
They didn’t stop at stability fixes. Bosses have been nudged down in power, the gap between character actions tightened, and a number of animations received tweaks. These changes feel incremental rather than revolutionary — still, some players report smoother encounters after the hotfix.
Looking ahead, the team plans a March update focused on broader stability work and on lowering the game’s hardware demands so more rigs can run it acceptably.
Criticism isn’t only technical: many players fault the title for its "clumsy" combat and "crude" animations. The game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, and the devs have already said they will make adjustments based on player feedback.
