Christopher Judge Confirms Santa Monica Studio Will Announce a New Game This Summer

Actor Christopher Judge, the voice of Kratos in the Norse duology God of War, confirmed recent information from insider NateTheHate regarding the imminent announcement of the next Santa Monica Studio game. This happened during the Fan Expo in Vancouver, where Judge met with streamer Fuzhpuzy. The latter began asking him about the announced remake of the Greek trilogy God of War, and during the short conversation, the actor revealed three main points:

  • The God of War Trilogy Remake cannot be called a reboot, but the developers are preparing new technology, a combat system, and content.
  • Kratos will be voiced by his original actor, Terrence "T.C." Carson.
  • The future Santa Monica Studio game, in which Judge is involved, will most likely be announced by the end of this summer.

Not only NateTheHate but also another reliable insider, Shinobi602, has pointed to a similar timeframe for the announcement. Currently, there are no details about the title. It is only known that its development is being led by the creative director of Santa Monica Studio and game director of God of War (2018), Cory Barlog, and its release is allegedly planned for sometime in 2027.

As for the God of War trilogy remake, it is officially in the early stages of production, so a release in the near future should not be expected.
