The Primals, a Band Formed by Final Fantasy 14 Developers, to Perform at Download Festival

The Primals, a band formed by the developers of Final Fantasy 14 and featuring the MMORPG's composer, have been announced as guests at the Download Festival, the UK's largest rock festival. This will mark the band's first performance outside of a fan festival and outside of Japan. Typically, they perform either at fan festivals or at Japanese venues.

It is well known that the lead composer and sound director Masayoshi Soken, who is himself one of the founders and a current member of The Primals, is a huge rock fan, as many of the game's most famous tracks are rock or heavily influenced by it.

So many of my favorite bands have performed at this iconic festival over the years, and the thought of The Primals joining that list gives me goosebumps!

The Download Festival, celebrating its 22nd year in 2024, is one of the world's largest multi-genre rock festivals, featuring both top global acts and rising stars. This year's lineup includes Guns N' Roses, Limp Bizkit, Mastodon, Hollywood Undead, Pendulum, Babymetal, and the current lineup of Linkin Park.
