Capcom Launches Teaser Site for Okami's 20th Anniversary — Awaiting April and Sequel News
Capcom has prepared something new for Okami. However, for now, we only have access to a "teaser" site where you can find a message from the creators, a general description of the series, and a special logo. The creation of the latter once again involved the renowned calligraphy artist Masumi Narita. She was the one who worked on the logo design for the first game.
Capcom thanks the series' fans for their ongoing support and love and promises "commemorative projects," merchandise, and various events. There's no talk of a new game yet, even though news has been long overdue.
Recall that the sequel to the original Okami — Okami 2 — was announced at The Game Awards 2024. At that time, its development was in the early stages. In February 2025, the project's producer confirmed that it would be a full-fledged sequel. Therefore, we can expect new adventures of the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, who has taken the form of a wolf.
Okami 2 is being worked on by the first game's director, Hideki Kamiya. The developer left PlatinumGames back in 2023, as he feared the death of his creative self.
