Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain finally gets the Ground Zeroes prologue not as a separate part

Modders have merged Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain into a single playthrough, realizing Hideo Kojima's original vision 11 years later. The prologue, released separately in 2014 due to the launch of a new console generation, is now integrated into the main game via the RLC mod on NexusMods.

The Ground Zeroes campaign is added to the mission list via the iDroid and is logically woven into the story. The Camp Omega map becomes available for free exploration with side missions and the Fulton system. Installation requires an official copy of the prologue. The authors warn about technical limitations, but this is the version of Metal Gear Solid V closest to the original vision.
