Battlefield 6 — Second Season Delayed Until February

Publisher Electronic Arts and developer DICE have decided to postpone the launch of the second season for Battlefield 6 to February 2026. Initially, the new content phase was planned to start this month, but the developers chose to extend the first season to focus on fixing the game's fundamental issues and incorporating community feedback.

Following mixed reviews at the start of the first season (specifically complaints about vehicle balance and map design), EA decided to give the team more time for polishing. The developers want to ensure the second season launches without critical bugs.

To keep players engaged during the hiatus, the current season will be supplemented with new "mid-cycle" content. Additional weekly challenges, bonus experience points, and possibly temporary game modes have been promised.
