Xbox Game Studios and Obsidian Entertainment will release the fantasy role-playing game Avowed on PlayStation 5 next month, on February 17. Pre-orders are already open.

Additionally, on the same day, Avowed will receive an “Anniversary Update” with a "New Game+" mode and additional content: new playable races (dwarves, orlans, aumaua), weapon types, a photo mode, and much more. It will be available on all current platforms.

Obsidian promises that with the “Anniversary Update,” Avowed will become a "more complete" game.

Originally, Avowed was released on February 18, 2025, for PC and Xbox Series.

According to the plot, players embark on a mysterious island called the Living Lands, where they must investigate rumors of a plague threatening all life.

Avowed received fairly high scores from journalists and a decent rating on Steam. However, its peak online on the Valve platform was lower than that of Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, and The Outer Worlds.
