Autonomous Sims, Family Trees, and No Revolutions: The Sims 4 Roadmap Until the End of the Year
Electronic Arts has presented the update roadmap for The Sims 4. The developers will focus on improving quality of life and fixing long-standing issues.
From March to August, they will refine the baby system and Sims' autonomy. Characters will act more independently, sometimes annoyingly — interrupting conversations or choosing inappropriate places for actions. Technical stability will also be addressed.
From September to December, Sims' behavior during eating will be improved, and family trees will be reworked to preserve players' histories.
The studio's main focus remains on Project Rene — a multiplayer project set in The Sims universe. Its release date is unknown.
