Arma Reforger Developers Summarize 2025 and Share Future Plans

The Arma Reforger team shared a detailed report on the past year, highlighting the project's key achievements and the community's contributions.

2025 proved to be a record-breaking year for the game in several metrics: sales surpassed 1.5 million copies, and the total time players spent in the world of Arma Reforger exceeded 96 million hours. The peak daily audience reached approximately 226,000 people across all platforms, and the total number of unique users approached 2.7 million. Furthermore, the library of user-created mods was enriched with thousands of new works for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

In March, the major 1.3 update titled Fire Support was released, introducing significant gameplay changes. Players gained access to new combat vehicles — the LAV‑25 and BRDM‑2 — as well as attack helicopters and mortars. A crucial addition was the building destruction system, which altered tactical possibilities. Additionally, the developers presented the single-player scenario Elimination as a demonstration of the Scenario Framework's potential and overhauled several systems, laying the groundwork for the further development of the Conflict mode.

A significant step in cross-platform development was the introduction of mod support for PlayStation 5 in May with the release of update 1.4. This gave PS5 players access to the in-game Workshop, and user-generated content — from game modes to custom assets — became available on all platforms. This allowed players on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation to unite, expanding opportunities for cooperative play and the exchange of creative ideas.

Later, in October, the team surprised the community by skipping version 1.5 and directly releasing update 1.6 with the new island of Kolguyev. This is one of the most extensive updates in the project's history: besides the vast new location, it included a rework of the Conflict HQC mode, the single-player campaign Operation Omega, and the Air Support scenario. The game's arsenal was expanded with new weapons and equipment. However, due to the scale of the changes, technical difficulties arose, to which the team promptly responded by reintroducing an alternative version of the Conflict mode by the end of the year, as requested by players. Work on optimization and gameplay improvements continues.

Looking ahead to 2026, the team confirms that the development of Arma Reforger remains in an active phase. Although long-term efforts are gradually shifting towards Arma 4, support for the current version is not ceasing. The developers continue to optimize performance, implement improvements, and carefully study player feedback coming through social media, Discord, and the Feedback Tracker system. While details of future updates are not yet disclosed, the team assures that work on new features is in full swing.
