ARC Raiders received Denuvo Anti-Cheat — players hope for victory over cheaters
Denuvo Anti-Cheat has been rolled out for Arc Raiders. Embark Studio says the phased deployment that started last month finished by the end of June — not exactly a surprise, but worth noting.
The studio also spelled out what this addition does (and doesn't). The new tool watches for suspicious activity and flags cheats; it’s monitoring-only, i.e., not a DRM layer. In practice that means telemetry-style checks, e.g., process and behavior signals, rather than copy-protection measures.
To try to catch more bad actors, Denuvo is being used alongside the existing Anybrain solution. The point is to cut down on cheaters messing up matches — useful, but not a guaranteed cure. Expect some tuning; these systems often need time to settle.
On a lighter note, the store got a visual tweak: more colors for the Bogwalker set are now available. The studio promises to publish detailed figures on the anti-cheat’s effectiveness and any effects on app stability soon (ETA: forthcoming).
