ARC Raiders Players Are Again Dissatisfied with AI — Enemies Shoot from Hundreds of Meters Away

Players of ARC Raiders are back on the forums, annoyed after the latest update. This round of complaints isn’t about loot or UI — it’s the AI. Enemies are locking onto raiders from absurd distances and opening fire before anyone can react.

One post describes a Bastion that started shooting from over 400 m and downed the player almost immediately with unnervingly accurate shots. On the “Cosmoport” map these reports are especially common; folks say the AI notices them well before they’ve had a chance to get their bearings (e.g., spawn → look → react).

Rocketers are also being called out. If they spot you in open ground they reportedly close the gap very quickly, making encounters feel chaotic and, to many, unfair. Short fights, long travel time to safety — the pattern is jarring.

This isn’t unfamiliar territory: a similar bug cropped up before and Embark Studios pushed a hotfix that fixed things fast. Will it happen again? Players hope so — some are skeptical, others are already refreshing patch notes.

No ETA on a new fix yet. Discussion is heating up; users argue these glitches hurt both gameplay and how the project is perceived (FYI, the sentiment is more frustration than nostalgia).
