Apex Legends for Switch to Cease Support in August

The developers of Apex Legends have announced the discontinuation of support for the game's Nintendo Switch version. Consequently, Season 29 will be the last for owners of the hybrid console, and from August 4th, it will no longer be possible to play the shooter on it.

All earned progress can be transferred to the Switch 2 version. Interestingly, Respawn does not plan to end support for the even "older" PS4 and Xbox One, at least not in the foreseeable future.

We remind you that the game is also available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, Android, and iOS.

Two weeks earlier, Electronic Arts presented the plan for the sixth season of the Apex Legends Global Series, which promises to be the largest in the history of the esports league. It will span almost the entire year of 2026 and conclude with a final in Japan in early 2027.
