Anthem Officially Fades into Oblivion

Today, January 12, 2026, the initially ambitious but troubled action game Anthem has officially ceased to exist. The game's servers have been completely shut down on all platforms (PC and consoles).

Since Anthem was designed as an "online-only" game, the absence of servers renders it completely unplayable. The game has no offline mode or the ability to play solo without a connection. All your Javelins, progress, cosmetic items, and the hundreds of hours spent in the world of Bastion (someone surely played that much) are now inaccessible.

Even with a physical disc or installed files on a console, the game throws a connection error to EA services and does not allow progression to gameplay.
