Anthem can be saved, but EA is unwilling to follow in the footsteps of No Man's Sky Former executive producer of Anthem Mark Darrah spoke about the game's possible rescue. He estimates that it will take around $10 million to restyle and relaunch the game.
The action plan includes updating the graphics for new consoles to PC Ultra level, switching from expensive dedicated servers to local ones, and introducing AI companions to adapt combat for single-player mode. If the relaunch is successful, sales of 400,000 copies would make the project profitable.
However, Darra believes that EA is unlikely to take on the revival of Anthem, as the company focuses on multi-billion dollar projects rather than rehabilitating damaged brands. He cited No Man's Sky as an example of a successful game rescue.
