Announced: the brutal bitmap The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival and its demo version released

The publisher Trailmark Games and the studio Odaclick Game Studio have revealed a two-dimensional arcade beat 'em up called The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, set in the TV world of AMC. A demo went live on Steam on June 12, 2026, and the full launch is penciled in for autumn 2026. Platforms listed are personal computers (PC) and consoles — PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S (XSX|S), and Nintendo Switch (NS).

Gameplay leans into brisk, side-scrolling brawls: waves of walkers collide with hostile survivor groups, and fights are built around combo strings, character-specific moves, and brutal finishers. The devs describe the combat as unapologetically raw rather than delicate — you’ll trade blows, pull off combos, and sometimes just feel the mess of it all.

You can play as three franchise characters: Rick Grimes (Magnum), Daryl Dixon (crossbow), and Michonne (katana). Each one comes with distinct stats and signature abilities meant to reflect their TV personas, not mere cosmetic changes.

The single-player campaign retells the All Out War arc, reframing the showdown with the Saviors under Negan’s leadership. Expect to move between locations such as the Sanctuary — with detours to Hilltop and Alexandria — and to face named antagonists. Bosses include Negan and his lieutenant Simon, and there are memorable undead encounters like Winslow and the notorious well walkers.

The Steam demo is intended to let players test the combat loop ahead of release. The retail build will offer a range of difficulty settings, from an easy option for relaxed runs to tougher arcade-style trials aimed at replay value — no grand promises about reinventing the wheel, just a chance to try the game yourself.
