Animal Crossing: New Horizons has lost one of its most famous and explicitly adult Dream Islands.
After the release of update 3.0 and the Switch 2 version, Nintendo began a mass purge of NSFW islands Animal Crossing: New Horizons in Dream Suite. Among those removed was an island that was very popular with Japanese audiences. For five years, it remained a source of explicit 18+ humor and regularly appeared in streams. The island was filled with provocative details: a reference to Japanese red-light district signs right at the entrance, a full-fledged area with pachinko, saunas and vending machines, a love hotel with heavily "cropped" statues of David, Blazers' room with used napkins and a photo of Isabel by the bed, plus a similarly vulgar interior at Tom Nook's.
Despite all the obvious provocation, the island lasted almost five years. The author himself took the ban calmly: he thanked Nintendo for "turning a blind eye for a long time" and acknowledged that sooner or later it had to end.
