AMD Considers Experimental FSR Redstone Support on RDNA 3 (RX 7000) Cards

AMD may accommodate owners of previous-generation graphics cards (Radeon RX 7000) regarding support for its new AI upscaling technology. According to recent statements from company representatives, AMD is "leaving the door open" for implementing experimental FSR Redstone support on the RDNA 3 architecture. Moreover, as we all know, FSR Redstone already runs quite successfully on these graphics cards, but so far only under Linux.

Redstone is the codename for the next major update to the FidelityFX Super Resolution technology. The key difference from previous versions is the complete transition to machine learning (AI) algorithms for image reconstruction, ray tracing, and frame generation.
